today we got up and I worked out with my rebar and buckets of water, then went shopping and I got a killer bag, and shades. ok they are noting special but i needed them. then we came back to the room and cleaned it, found a spider that I about 5 inches wide! that was cool. we went and met up with the other elders at Moses’ house and we went on a hike to the top of a mountain! it was a lot of fun! Moses brought a slingshot and would shoot all of the bee hives! the bee hives here are massive!!! but they are not aggressive so that’s been really nice! afterwards we got lunch with elder walker and his companion. elder walkers mom sent me a package in the CCM to give to elder walker but I ate all the food... it didn’t register with me that the package was for him until I saw him. I haven’t told him. Haha we taught a few lessons tonight and I snuck in a nap before proselyting! And I got sun burnt again. Love you and say your prayers!

Oh, my what a day! we had a normal day for the most part, breakfast, morning lift with my rebar and buckets of water, had no water to shower so now I don’t have a weight set... but then we had a 3-week skype call with president, and all the other Chiclayo new missionaries. and that was a train wreck! we must use the internet cafes so it’s a no promises deal when you use the computer. we had no camera and no microphone, so we called the zone leader and listened, but it was hard to hear and in Spanish, long story short we hung up and studied for an extra hour. then we got bunked with appointments for the morning. later tonight we met this woman who said she taught English at the school, when I said some first level questions like how long have you lived in Bauga she could not understand me... that shows the education down here. Haha just kidding she could say hi and ask where i was from. then we taught Julia, my soon to be first baptism, my companion said teach about scriptures, and i said some of the most profound words ever! everyone in the lesson was crying. and i talked about the message you wrote in the front of my scriptures mom and how I read it every day to keep me motivated in my mission and they loved it! We then ate dinner with them and it was sooo much food, rice and eggs of course. Haha then we had soda and ice cream!!! awe it was perfect! we then went and picked up dinner from our cook and she made rice pudding again! Love, love, love it! my companion wasn’t hungry, so I wasn’t going to not eat both things of rice pudding and the loaf of bread. in the end I’m stuffed right now! days like today make me forget about the Elsa doll stuck in the wall that has been playing let it go, let it go, let it go, in Spanish and English on repeat for the last five days! but overall a great day! rained so much we had a river in the streets and wet shoes all day! ahahah memories... love you goodnight!

Today was a good day, I did another inercambio with Elder Moran which means I traveled to Baugua Grande to get some training from him. Indonses no tengo me alfasmart typing thing. But I learned some good stuff! and the best thing in the world happened, I keep the Book of Mormon between me and the strap to my side bag when my hands are full and while I was eating a burger a kid came up to me and asked me about it!! He looked so happy to hold it and I told him its very special in my life, and I gave it to him! Awe it melted my heart!

Today was good I went tracting this morning with Elder Moran then Elder Espinosa came and picked me up and we went back to Chica where we got bunked more than usual, we never have a 100% bunk day because we teach in the country of rice fields and palm trees so we call people before we walk 20 min to their house. My confidence has been really good with the ideoma. The comida is awesome! the gift of tongues is real! I had another woman ask me to marry her, she is 20 and a doctor. It’s the same woman that loves that I’m a wrestler, because she is also a UFC fighter and took 3rd in Peru twice and 2nd and 1st once. When she said the joke I was like I’m scared to say no because she will beat me up! Well it all kinda ruined the mood to ask her to baptism... but her mom will be my number one on the 22nd! I’m very happy about that! Headed to the shower, goodnight say your prayers!

Today was Raymond’s birthday he’s our cook’s son, so we had free ice cream! that was nice. I also found out I need to spend my money before the next month or I have to give it back to the APs the money I don’t spend, so far, I’ve used hardly any so I get a party tomorrow, it resets on the 15th. today we got bunked hard, not a single lesson. We contacted many people and taught them some lessons! so that was nice! not much happened other hand that sorry to say so today will be a short write, goodnight I love you!

Oh, I just heard Tatiana talked to her mom Julia and wants to get baptized! I now have two baptisms! my companion in his last area had 4 baptisms in 6 months so this is really good!

What a perfect day! Well my blisters on my feet started bleeding today... BUT had a breakfast with chocolate milk, visited Julia and Tatiana our soon to be first converts, and I got their turkey, cut its head off and defeathered it! while my companion filled out the paperwork for the baptism! Later we went to our room to study scriptures fun, and we then went and ate lunch with our cook, then went and ate the turkey with Julia and the family. Afterwards we taught some more lessons that went all right.. we interviewed Julia and she passed, Elder Norman had to comedo the interview so it wasn’t biased so I got to see my favorite elders!!! Awe him and Elder Wilson, Tatiana showed up and Elder Wilson interviewed her to see what she knows, she agreed to get baptized on the 22nd as well! we had to call president to get permission because she hasn’t assisted the church once. Haha by the grace of god he said yes! She asked me to baptize her! Then we went and taught another girl who we will challenge to baptism in the next week or so for January 19th. We taught a girl tonight who has anger issues, so I spoke a lot of English which she is fascinated by and did some magic tricks! We then got soda from the family! 10-10 perfect day!

Well I gave a talk today in church and it was good, and I have been trying to memorize the baptism prayer in Spanish. things have been good! we had an investigator that promised last night to come to church today not show up, but we had Julia, Tatiana, and another family attend church! So that was great! We are teaching Tatiana a ton this week as she gets ready for baptism, exciting! We had a missionary counsel where we talked about investigators and what might be their needs or what they struggle with, me and elder Espinosa thought we had it bad with people not fulfilling their promises like not reading the BOM or not coming to church. but elder walker said he had a pregnant investigator, which you can get baptized while pregnant but it’s just awkward when you are 12!!! Yes, he has a pregnant 12-year-old investigator. We then taught a family that’s a member and the kids in the ward... all 14 of them... come caroling and it was perfectly imperfect! good day! love you and goodnight!
