25 de deciembre

Well today was a good day, we played soccer talked with the fam and it was good. We got to the room and my companion said we did nothing today... I’m working on speaking my mind more because I bottle up my emotions a lot, so I told him we had a wonderful visit with Brian where we got him excited to read the Book of Mormon on his 24 hour bus ride. Also we taught Michel how to STUDY the scriptures, invited her to do so with her PF brother, and we ended the night in a FHE with the family Rojas where we did a good diagram of spoons and cups. In my opinion we were planting seeds. I love you good night.

Well good day but also a rough day. This morning it felt like I blinked the night away. In other words, I was just as tired as I was when I went to bed. We did find a family so that is very good. As we taught them they were like, “ohhhh that makes so much sense!” And he said that he had prayed to know what church to join the night before. As well as, afterwards he said the last prayer and he was like, “Wow I just felt something go through my body! Look I’m sweating!” And he was! It was such a powerful visit! I love you good night!

Today was an amazing day! We found some new people and were able to follow the promptings of the spirit. My companion and I read and studied about purifying our hearts (PMG chapter 1). This is where we took a look at everything that might distract our thoughts and our intentions for the missionary work. We repented and I feel like we are in a much better direction for work. I love you good night.

Today was an excellent day! In the morning we had absolutely nothing, but we went out looking with faith. Then we found grandparents that were so cute! They are married and they were really nice! They let us in and we had an amazing lesson with them and they committed to come to church. We had so much success today and found so many people that I feel like we are making progress! I love you good night.

Today was a church day, we had the grandparents come to church today and it felt so good to see them there. But they were the only ones... not quite to our goal but I’m sure our progress is about to change! We had only one lesson today but the one lesson that we had was amazing! She understood what we were teaching, ask good questions, and I loved it! Our P'Day changed again this week, so that is kind of rough... I love you good night.

Today was one of the best day of my mission yet. We had a lesson with Maximo y Dora, they are a couple in their 50s and have 4 kids. We went to visit them after they had come to church yesterday. Dora said she did not like that people don't talk about the Bible in church. We explained to her that the first our is usually personal experiences and that the 2nd hour is more scripture study. We started to teach them and she left the lesson and we called her back so she could just listen for a little bit. She said she is Catholic but she stayed and let’s just say we all felt the spirit so strong that we all teared up! She said that all she wants is for her kids to come home sit at the dinner table together and listen to us. Her husband Maximo was saying through the whole lesson, “BAPTIZE ME!” He really wants to get baptized... but we want him to have a real conversion. It was such a touching lesson!  Later when we got back to the room we saw that the ring my companion had on his hand was a tad bit too small. His finger was easily twice the size and we used everything in trying to get it off. When he took a shower the shampoo helped and it came off. I love you good night.

Today went as planned, everyone was drunk or on vacation. So, not many visits.. the landlord who are members of the church, invited us over for a New Year’s dinner. However, we couldn't get permission so we couldn’t join them. So, we will be celebrating this new year’s sleeping at 10:30 and calling the Elders. Everyone is also burning dolls here for midnight. They fill clothes with hay and light it on fire. Some of the dolls get pretty big 5 feet tall, 10 feet, 15 feet, and one here that is more or less 30 feet tall!!! I love you good night.
