Today broke my heart, I left Jayanca early in the morning to go to my new area. While I was waiting for my companion, I was eating breakfast because it was early, and I did not eat with Sister Genoveva my pench. I got a call and it was Noelia, my convert and we always kid around with her, like during inter changes I say my companion died and this is my new one, or that today our lesson is on the death of Jesus Christ and we will be sacrificing a guinea pig as a representation of it. Well she called me and said that Luis had told her I was leaving today. I told her yes, and she just kept saying I know you’re kidding and that you will be knocking on my door tomorrow morning to teach me about temples. I could hear her crying so hard saying I can’t leave them, and it broke my heart. I know that my mission was to come here and teach her, that she was the one person who was waiting to hear exactly what I had to say and the way I would say it. if I served my mission and only came home with this one convert, I would have had the most successful mission of any missionary. I love all my converts of Jayanca and will miss them. but on lighter news I love my new area, my companion is awesome and has the same characteristics as Luke Thornbrue my cousin. The area is awesome and is right on the beach, I have yet to meet all the members here in the Barrio but the ones I have met are funny, smart, and are happy to see me! We do not have anyone progressing and none with a baptism date but that will all change soon! I love you and good night.

Yesterday was a great day, we found 12 new investigators and invited them all to church. My companion has a big fear in inviting people to baptism, so my companion has a bunch of people he’s been teaching for weeks and has not invited them to get baptized. So, I have been inviting everyone down here!!! He’s a little upset because they say no. After the lesson, I say well looks like we will not be visiting them anymore! I love you good night.

Today was a good day, the new place I’m in is just like Seaside, it’s on the coast with the same brisk windy days. It’s beautiful here and the members I have met are some really nice humble group. Every time we ask if we can do anything to help the all say is “just pray for my family.” Which is great. We went around to all the pizza places here and got delivery numbers, only problem is it is super expensive. We then bought some food tonight and the eggs here are super cheap so I’m eating quite a bit of them! Yee'ole dad special eggs and toast. I love you good night

Today was a good day, we taught this woman today named Cuchy... yes, I feel weird calling her by name. We invited her to baptism, and she said I have already been baptized, we asked her how was your baptism. This usually opens the door to further explain the correct way to be baptized. She said she was baptized in Jerusalem in the river Jordan, by the assistant to the pope or someone like that. We said wow that is the first and probably the last time we will hear about that baptism, but it is not valid in the eyes of God. After that we did some service... and it was the kind of service when they say, “hey can you take this last box to the dumpster”, and they just keep repeating it until the job is done. and the room was piled to the roof with stuff and it was… a first for me here in Peru I love you good night

Well today was a good day, I cracked the code. I’ve been making eggs and toast for a week now and then it hit me, I have everything I need to make french toast... I made the world’s best french toast today and fried the leftover egg. I was so happy and for the first time full! The church here in Pimentel is soooooo big, lots of members who are ready to help in the work! A bit different than Jayanca and their 30 members.
